Meet the Team
Please enjoy our biographies below...
Jennifer B. |
My name is Jen and live in Delta, BC. I currently work at UBC as a Faculty Advisor in the Bachelor of Education Elementary Program. I also teach Grades 3/4 once a week. My previous degrees include a B.Arts and B.Ed (Elementary). Technology is still relatively new to me. This is my first MET class. Until July 2011 I couldn't even text. I made it a personal goal to get "up" on technology and have not looked back since. Working on the OER for cloud based learning has been great. I have used many cloud based software services such as Blogger, YouTube, Evernote, Dropbox and so on, but never really understood that these were part of the cloud. I hope you enjoy the information and activities we have provided. To enlarge the comic strip, click on the hexagon within the square on the left-hand side of the black square. |
Colin G.
Hello my name is Colin and I live in Vancouver, BC. Presently I work at a learning centre teaching senior business courses as well as being a tech facilitator for my school. I have a degree in Commerce and this is my third MET course. I use cloud applications in my classroom including Wordpress, Moodle and Joomla. I am always looking at new technology that I can implement into my classroom to make it more engaging for students. |
Kent J.
> | Hello my name is Kent and I live in Port Moody, BC. I'm a Grade 4 teacher in West Vancouver and the Technology Coordinator for grades K to 6 at Mulgrave School. I enjoy using cloud based services in my classroom and feel that cloud learning has great potential in school systems. I hope you enjoy learning and engaging in our discussions, and I look forward to learning along side of you this week. |
Avninder
My name is Avninder and I am corporate trainer at a large utility in British Columbia. I have an undergraduate degree in business administration and have almost completed my Master of Educational Technology (this my 9th course). Although I have not worked in the K-12 system, much of the information in this site is relevant to a business setting as well. To improve accessibility and increase collaboration, our organization has transferred a lot of data to the cloud and had success in the transformation.
